This bar is from our Origins Of Peru Tasting Set, which contains four different bars made with cacao beans from three different regions of Peru.

There is a small area in northern Peru where the mountains are low enough to allow the Amazon jungle to flirt directly with the desert coast. A mix of native criollo cacao is found there, prized for its premium quality. These beans are lighter in color and are harvested at altitudes ranging from roughly 150-1300 feet above sea level.
